Three to See: GLOW's a go; MacEwan, Metro and Shumka fundraise for Ukraine

GLOW: The Canada Geese are back, and so is the Quarters Arts Society’s spring equinox celebration, GLOW! This year’s theme is mushroom fungi as a symbol of diversity, beauty and resilience, three of QAS’ major tenets. “After a two-year hiatus," says artistic director Lorin Klask, “we are so excited for the return of our walking lantern parade and invite the whole community to walk with us. Our illuminated night parade will leave from CO*LAB and weave through our neighbourhood to bring magic to the streets.” The lantern workshop is already full, but the gallery with art by Yong Fei Guan opens at 3 p.m., the parade at 8 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on there’ll be fire pits and music by King of Foxes and Electric Religious — everyone’s welcome!
