Coming to Light: Sculptural painter Giuseppe Albi is back with a new show, but almost wasn’t. When COVID-19 hit, he explains, “I shut down like everything around me. I stopped going to the studio, turned inward and reflected on life. Will I paint again? Perhaps it is time to look elsewhere.” But after six months of soul searching, he returned to the studio daily. “I reflected on the finished work and abandoned pieces. The summer light brought the transparent small 3D Lexan pieces to life. Coloured reflections danced on the studio walls as the sun travelled across the sky through morning darkness to afternoon light.
