The number of caribou in a herd that's been "critically low" since 2015 declined by nearly 2,000 animals in the past three years, according to new data from the government of the Northwest Territories. But a wildlife manager who helped study the Bathhurst herd said the decline is slowing down and that the herd is showing signs of stabilization.
